It has come as a great shock for us to learn of their death.I worked with Jerry for a number of years at Portland and we had many humerous times together. A true gentleman and a pleasure to have known him.

So sad to hear of Ann and Gerry's death. I worked with Ann at Wyvern School in the 1980's and will remember her as always smiling, a fantastic sense of humour and completely committed to the children she cared for. She was a lovely, genuine person who I'm sure will be greatly missed, but remembered with such love.

I worked with Gerry for several years at Portland YOI and retain very fond memories of his pleasant and stable personality. Nothing was too much trouble for him in the workplace and he was a friend and colleague whose tragic departure from this life I find great difficulty in coming to terms with. Rest in peace Ann and Gerry. The mark you left on this world will remain for ever.

I was so very sorry to here of the accident and the sad passing of Ann & Gerry.
On the few occations that I met Ann & Gerry when they lived in and later visited family in York, they were always great fun to be with and most of all a wonderful couple.
My thoughts are with all their family at this very sad time.
Love and miss you Both Mal.

We both worked with Gerry at Portland YOI for many years, indeed he was the PO responsible for 'Benbow' wing when I started there in 1990 and he also worked with Debbie for many years before that. We would both like to express our sympathy for your loss and say, just like you we will remember them'
