Well what can I say, I’m shocked, we got the bad news whilst walking in Dalby Forest, all I could picture for the rest of the day was Anne’s lovely smile and Gerrys cheeky grin. My heart goes out to you all.
I’ll see you all on Thursday.
Love and best wishes,

We were so shocked hearing the news of Gerry and Ann's fatal accident in New Zealand.
We go back many years when we lived nextdoor to them in Princetown and the happy memories we spent with them and their family and our family especially birthdays and Christmas.
Julie Kevin Jackie and Dan we are thinking about you all at this very sad time.
We can always remember one particular record of Tony Bennetts that they played over and over again "I left my heart in San Francisco"

An extract from my favourite book "The Little Prince" by Antoine De Saint Exupery. Dedicated to Ann and Gerry - the two brightest stars in the sky.
"When you look up at the sky at night, since I shall be living on one of them, for you it will be as if all the stars were laughing. You and only you will have stars that can laugh. And when you are comforted (since time soothes all sorrows) you will be happy to have known me. You will always be my friend. And from time to time you will open your window, just for the pleasure of it....and your friends will be astonished to see you laughing whilst gazing at the sky."

Our childhood christmas memories will always be inextricably linked with Ann, Gerry and the whole family. We will always smile when we remember such great hospitality every year that none of us were ever hungry for christmas dinner afterwards! We shall raise a glass this christmas day and every one thereafter to two fabulous people who touched our lives in so many ways. Thanks for the memories - together forever.

Tribute on behalf of Wyvern School

First of all at this sad time we would like to say that our thoughts and heartfelt sympathy are with all of Ann and Gerry's family. Ann worked at Wyvern for many years and we should like to pay this tribute to her and Gerry. Ann was a very well liked and respected Teaching Assistant working mostly with PMLD children with whom she had great rapport. She was really kind and took great care of the children in her class. She loved them all. We are sure there are many parents of students who have now left Wyvern who will be very sad and shoked to hear of Ann and Gerry's tragic accident. Ann was lovely to everyone, a really super lady who was liked by all who met her. There are many memories we have of Ann as her friends and colleagues, such as the fun trips to London, the shops and theatres. We would raid M & S - carry all our purchases home on the train and most went back to M & S the next week! Then there were the Christmas Dances, birthday meals etc - we had some really good times. On a personal level Ann and Gerry were always there for people. For example they were at my mum's funeral and also at my daughter's wedding supporting in our sorrow and sharing in our joy. This is how we shall remember them - just such a lovely couple whom it was a pleasure and privilege to know. From all Friends and Colleagues who knew Ann and Gerry at Wyvern School.

We have many happy memories of holidays and Christmas mornings spent with Ann'Gerry and family. We have had such fun. They are two people who will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Julie Jackie Kevin and Dan and your families we are thinking of you. No words can ever be enough but remember that your mum and dad were a very special couple. It is such a terrible tragedy to leave in such a horribly sudden way especially for you all.You know how much you were all loved and cherished and how important you all were to them.It is still unbelievable.Yet as Kelly said on the telephone, they died together and doing a wonderful thing. We are priviledged to have known them and to have spent such great times with two brilliant people.
